Stridelane Pacing Lighting Systems

Pace control for workouts and race day. Build workouts from desktop and make practical trackside adjustments from mobile. Software is included with every system. LED track pacing lights are sequential lights placed along a running track. Software illuminates them in order so the visible signal moves at a programmed pace. Stridelane light modules are designed to remain visible in daylight for athletes, coaches, and spectators. Visibility varies with weather, viewing angle, placement, and color selection, so high-contrast colors are recommended in bright sun. Railing shown NOT included.

Pacing lights translate a time goal into a moving visual reference. The system does not measure the official result. It shows the target while the meet's approved timing system records performance.

The category is described in several ways: pacing lights, pace lights, LED pacing systems, visual pacing systems, and informally, wave lights or wavelights. Wavelight is also the name of a specific branded system. Stridelane is an independent pacing-light company and system.

The software is designed for practical use by coaches and meet staff. Build pace plans from a desktop computer, then make trackside adjustments from a phone or tablet. Stridelane provides setup guidance so the program can prepare workouts and race plans confidently.The core idea remains the same across the category: place individually controlled lights around a known track distance, calculate when each position should illuminate, then synchronize the sequence to a start.

During training

Works through FinishLynx’s scoreboard output. We provide an .lss script that sends the running clock over Ethernet/UDP to our controller. Railing isn’t mandatory. It does protect the lights from being accidentally kicked. One kicked/moved light does not harm the integrity of the system. See FAQ for additional questions.
