I began experimenting with gunless starting technology 28 years ago when World Paralympic sprint champion Tony Volpeentest ran an exhibition 100 and 200 here in Lisle and had no issues or concerns with a gun-free electronic start.
Almost three decades later, I'm exited about the LITE II, the latest and clearly the most advanced and affordable non gun starting system available.
The LITE II, which we've used this season with no issues--or false starts--received positive comments from coaches, athletes, and spectators.
The most significant feedback noted the Lite II's bright flash, impressive tone, and easy setup.
The Lite II connects to a conventional speaker which we mount on the back of our starter's golf cart.
The LITE II has been 100% reliable and the new false start requires just another press of the button on the sleek and easy-to-hold wand.
